MAIMUN PALACE IN MEDAN - INDONESIA

We are part of  history, it will be rude when we are not aware about the story that has made our day today.

I have been staying in Medan for about 5 years and I can say that I never been in Maimon Palace before. It’s not because I don’t want to, it’s just my lazy habit that shut me down a lot at home spending time sleeping and reading than walking around the city. Last week my Mom and Sist come and visit me for few days, so In the middle of the day when we scheduling our family(minus dad and big bro)-spending-time-together my mom just spontaneously saying ‘Why we are not visiting Maimon Palace?’ and without saying anything I and my sister agreed with it.

So here we are then,  the fornt gate welcoming me with park area on left and souvenir sell spot in next to the parking area. This is the first time for us and I can feel the euphoria of the history. They got many visitors on that day including local and international society. I’m about to taking a front look of the palace but I’m stuck in the middle of the crowd, so instead taking a picture with crowd on it I put my sister as an object hahahha.

Moving forward, if you want to take alook the inside, you will go trhough the upstair, buy a ticket  price Rp. 5.000/ person. You will found chandelier, the King and Queen chair, paint of the first King and the following. The interior definitely give you a feeling like traveling time. 

My pictures quality maybe not good, because I can’t take a picture properly on that time because of so many folks running around taking a selfie in every corner, so there aren’t much spot left for my lens to capturing stuff.

You  can come and make your eyes witnessing of the heritage they still keep with. There is a lot fun when you learn the history, kinda like increasing your intelligence about the past so you can know what the history bring you today, how you could be grateful because if it wasn’t  the history it woldn’t be today. Through heritage we found our address; who we are, what kind of culture we have. Visiting the historical place make you met your decent, so you can learn how you should be responsible as the new generation to keep culture like it shoud be.

Ps; pardon (again) if you irritated with my broken english, I will keep practicing writing english for improving my writing english, I need to pass the test this year, whish me luck maybe ? hehehe
